March is one of the most variable months weatherwise in the Glens Falls region. The month can feature anything from heavy snowstorms to mild, sunny weather. Average highs climb from the middle 30’s F at the beginning of the month to near 50 F by the end (2 to 10 C). Average lows climb from the middle teens to the upper 20’s (-9 to-2 C). However, temperatures have been recorded as low as –24F (-31C), to as high as 86F (29C)! 

Average snowfall for March is nearly a foot (31cm) , however, most snow does not last very long in March, particularly in the later half. Snowpack also dwindles rapidly, and most valley locations have bare ground by the end of the month.
