July is our warmest month, with average highs typically in the lower 80’s F (upper 20's C), and average lows in the upper 50’s to near 60 F (mid 10's C). Several days typically experience highs in the 90’s F (lower 30's C), and a few mornings may have lows in the upper 40’s  to near 50 F (upper single digits C) . Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are fairly common, as are long stretches of hazy, hot, humid weather.

July is our sunniest month, with 64% sunshine occurring during the days on average. Lake water temperatures are usually in the 60’s F (upper 10's to lower 20's C) in July, and may reach the lower 70’s F ( lower 20's C) during heat waves. The combination of abundant sunshine, warm temperatures, and refreshing lake water temperatures send many to area lakes and outdoor.
